We can't create child issues. This project only allows you to create epics.

Hi,

I want to create child issues under the Epic, but I can't. When I select the option to add a child issue, it only shows me a new row in read only mode with this message: 'We can't create child issues. This project only allows you to create epics.'

This problem is happening across the whole Jira Site.

Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?

Hi, @Susheela_Kushwaha. No. This is not normal. This capability has been disabled by someone in your settings.

Is this a company-managed or team-managed project? Where you resolve the issue depends on the answer to that question. It's going to be fixed in the systems settings or project settings, depending on the answer.
