Copied workflow not displaying created tickets on kanban board

I copied a working workflow with the intention of

1. Creating a new ticket type

2. Adding a post-function (from create -> to do, and also tried (in progress -> out for signature)

3. When I create a ticket it does not appear on the board. However the ticket is created and appearing on the project list

4. I did create a new ticket type and tested with the original workflow and the ticket is created on the board.

Why would a workflow that is copied, ticket type assigned to this new workflow, added to the workflow scheme, not display tickets in the board when created?

What is the filter for your board?

If it is a Kanban board, what is the subfilter?

Could the new issue type be getting excluded by either of these filters?

Did you make any changes in the copy of the workflow besides adding a post function? What is the post function that you added to the new workflow? Could the results of that post function be changing the issue in such a way that it no longer is within scope of the board filter/subfilter?

Do you have any Quick Filters activated?

Hello,

There are no filters sent. But I do like the idea the the board filter may not have it included.

Where I am stuck with that is that in this company-managed business template project, I don't have the ability to mess with boards like i don't have the ability to see the board filter, or even create a new board. The board is just the board in this template type (and why I hate this template type).

the post-function is used for xporter, which basically will take the ticket and generate a document. This works perfectly, a ticket is created, it completes a template with the entered fields and golden. I just can't see the ticket on the board in any stage.

I also did try removing the post-function from the new ticket type in the new workflow, and it still didn't come through so think it is something with the board filter.

So i guess the question is, how can i adjust the board filter on a business type project (I would typically do this by going into project setting and then details, and then update the filter being used for the board.

Also to add, when I look at the standard filter on my business board project. I do see the new ticket type as a filter option, but the ticket doesn't appear on the board to be filtered.

Knowing that the project is a Jira Work Management project is important. That tells me what the issue is.

It is true that you cannot modify the filters for Jira Work Management boards. They include all the issues in the project.

The reason you don't see the issues in the JWM board is because that board can display the issues for only one Workflow at a time. If you have multiple Workflows used in your project, then there will always be some issues that are hidden from the board.

In the upper right corner above the board is a More button. When you click on it one of the options is Workflows.

When you click on that you will see a list of the Workflows that exist in the project and the issue types to which each applies. The Workflow with the checkmark on the right is the one that is currently being displayed on the board. Only the issues associated with the issue types for that workflow will be displayed. You will have to choose the other newly created workflow to see the issues for the issue type associated with it.
