How many ways we have to copy the details from parent to child issues?

We have a script, when the Bug issue is resolved we will get one option called "Generate patch" when we click on that fill all details and select ok, then child issues get created. Now we want those details that are filled in "Generate patch window" should be coped to all the child issue.

What scripting tool are you using for the "Generate Patch" option? I assume the details from this window are added to fields on the generated issue?

Could you also clarify how the parent/child relationship works here? Are these existing children? Or children generated from a "Generate Patch" issue?

It certainly will be possible using a script, but you could also consider using Automation for this as an alternative.
