Automated Date copied over in the cloned test case from the original test case

When we clone any test cases which is marked as automated and we decided to create a new test cases by cloning that then automation date of the test case is getting copied in the newly cloned test cases.

For example we have one test cases in system with below details

Created - 01/01/2024

Automated Date - 01/01/2024

Now present day 04/05/2024 if I make clone of above test cases then new test case will have created date as today and automated date as Automated Date - 01/01/2024

means automated even before created.

Please fix this bug.

Hi @Varun_Sharma 

The created date of an issue is the date / time it was created.  That is regardless of any source issue in the case of cloning.  What you describe is not a defect; in fact, allowing other values would invalidate issue history if the created date could be arbitrarily set to another value.

What problem are you trying to solve?  Knowing that may help the community to offer suggestions to help.
