Hi, I was learning about the project details which helps in the board configuration. I came across about Project Category.What project category defines and how can we get to know in both type of managed projects.

Jira administrators can create project categories. You can use categories in advanced search, filters, reports, and more.
For example:
category = software AND type = story
This will give you all Stories from all your Software projects.
