I cannot change the settings for Attachment Download Security Policy. I have a Standard Account.

Question

We've been building our site for 2 years. We've always been able to view PDF's that are linked to another page. Two days ago it stopped working, and now forces us to download the document, if we want to see it.

Hi Stephen, thanks for contacting me!

Here's an example of our issue...We place a pdf on Page 1, as an Attachment. We create a link on Page 2, to that pdf.For 18 months or more, this worked just fine. A user would click the link to the pdf and it would open, in preview mode. From there, they could download, print, save, etc..If they closed the pdf, they would see the Attachments list for Page 1. If they hit 'Back' on their browser, they would be returned to Page 2, where they started. On Wednesday, this no longer worked, and we get a prompt that the file can't be viewed unless it's downloaded.  This scenario will not work for our users, and it undoes almost two years worth of work doing it this way.HOW I'VE TRIED TO WORK AROUND IT (based on feedback from Support)...The pdf MacroWe do not want to load multiple instances of the same pdf to the more than 150 pages that may reference that pdf. These pdf files change from time to time, and updating all of them, and the links to them will be a nightmare.Download the pdf to view itNot an option for our usersConvert the pages to New EditorWe are in the New Editor, and have been for some time.Change the Security settings for attachmentsI have a Standard Account.I have tried to select options for 'Attachment Download Security Policy' and 'Insecure: Display all attachments inline.', so users can view pdf files from links, but these options are greyed out and I cannot change that function.Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated!Robert

Hi @Robert Stubbs

Can you clarify what you mean by a PDF linked to another page? How are these visible on the other page?
