wrong issue key when creating new issue

Question

I encountered an issue with the sequence of issue keys after importing a CSV file. Initially, the keys were disorganized, so I rectified this by reordering them from 1 to 20 before reimporting. However, despite deleting the previously imported issues using bulk operation, the problem persists. Now, when creating a new issue after the 20th one, it continues from where the last imported issue left off (8229), rather than starting from the next logical sequence (21). I expect the issue numbers to follow a sequential order, starting from where the last one left off after deletion

Hi @Yunus Kayamkhani ,

the sequence will not reset even if issues are deleted. The keys associated with deleted issues cannot be reused. newly imported issues will pick up with the last issue created.

I don't think this is possible for existing project.

If starting from 1 is really important, you would have to create a new project instead.
