Why am I unable to move Open issues from one sprint to another while closing a Sprint?

Hi,

I have a Sprint for Feb 2024 which I need to close and move all open issues to next sprint March 2024 which is already created.

When I try to close the Feb 2024 sprint it gives me option to move the Open issues to Backlog or New Sprint but the March 2024 sprint is not available in the dropdown.

I would like to let you know that both sprints are on the same board, however the issue still persists.
It has been happening since the beginning of March;
If it's a temporary glitch, then is there any way to sort it out?

Hi @Supratik Mukherjee,

Yes and no. I can see the March sprint is visible on your board. But I also see there are 17 issues assigned to the sprint. If your board is pulling in issues from different projects and these projects have separate boards, it is possible that the March sprint was created on another board and just being displayed here because issues that appear on both boards are already assigned to that sprint.

And so, when you close a sprint you will only see sprints created on that same board. The assumption that I raised in my initial answer is still a possible cause.

So, to validate this, make sure that the March sprint really is created in the same board that you are trying to close the sprint from.
