error when setting story points from epic view, customfield_10014

Willem D_Haeseleer

Getting this error when attempting to set the story points for a story from the epic details view

We couldn't set the story point value

Field 'customfield_10014' cannot be set. It is not on the appropriate screen, or unknown.

setting the story points from the story details view does work and reflects accurately on the epic view

Hello @Willem D_Haeseleer

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

I have not been able to replicate your error.

Does this happen to all users?

Have you tried a different browser or a private browser window?

This issue also occurs in chrome private mode and safari.

Does it happen for other users?

Are you working with issues in Company Managed project or a Team Managed project?

Can you confirm that 10014 is in fact the ID associated with the story point field?

John Cobbs

Had the same issue.

Story Points was missing from the edit screen. Adding it back solved the issue for me.
