Small font size for Include Page macro text

When I add info to a page using the Include Page macro, the text size is small. In the Excerpt page, the font size is correct, but after I include it by using the Include Page macro, it's small.

I've checked the paragraph style on the Except page to ensure some other style didn't sneak in, but the style is correct.

How do I get the font size for the Excerpt text to be the same as the non-Excerpt text?

I've added a screenshot to show the difference in text size. (The small font size is from the Excerpt text.)

Kindly try a solution to adjust the font size. Simply insert a Div macro within your Excerpt macro and place your content within this Div macro.

Then, include 'font-size: 12px;' (or your preferred size) in the Style parameter of the Div macro to modify the font size accordingly.

Hi @Humashankar VJ and thanks for the assist. However, I'm on Confluence Cloud, and looking at the macros list for DC and cloud, there isn't a Div macro listed.

If I've got this wrong and you know where to find the Div macro on Confluence Cloud, please add details about where I can find the Div macro.

Try to Set conditions with in the Div macro

Find parameters in the Div macro to set conditions for when the content inside the Excerpt macro

Sample one for your use

{div:class=my-div|condition=true}
{excerpt:name=MyContent}
This is the content I want to reuse.
{/excerpt}
{div}

{div:class=my-div|condition=true}: This Div macro includes a condition parameter. kindly make out true with any condition that evaluates to true or false

{excerpt:name=MyContent}- This is where you specify the name of the Excerpt macro you want to include. In this case, it's "MyContent"

By covering the Excerpt macro with the Div macro and setting conditions, you can control when and how the content is displayed or styled on your Confluence page

I'm having the same issue. This bug was only recently introduced on the cloud version with the release of the left navigation expansion during page edit release.

@Humashankar VJ I'm working in Confluence Cloud, so can't wrap the Excerpt macro source in a <div> tag.

Back when I was on DC and had the Source Editor plugin, this would've been a snap. Thanks anyway for your help.

Here's a workaround: create reusable text with the Excerpt macro and give it a name, even if there's a page worth of info and the Include Page macro would be better. Then you can use the Insert an Excerpt macro to bring in the info from the named Excerpt macro and the text size is correct.

But you might've already discovered that. I just tested it and it works. It will fix the text size problem right now. (I didn't want to wait for Atlassian to fix the bug.)

Ah, I see, thanks for clarifying.

In Confluence Cloud, you can't directly change the way content looks by writing HTML code like you could with a plugin in Confluence Data Center.

Instead, you have to use the tools and options provided by Confluence itself. While this means you might not have as much control over the appearance of your content, you can still do a lot with what's available.

If you need more advanced features or customization, you might need to look for add-ons or apps at this time.

I will give that a try. In my case it's a challenge because I've used that feature in many places in the technical docs I have been writing for a client for the last several months. The defect really stands out. Thanks for your response and good luck to you too!

@Humashankar VJ this defect was only recently introduced in Confluence Cloud and unfortunately greatly detracts from the aesthetics of the page. Having implemented 'include page' over hundreds of pages this is really a more severe issue than it might appear.

Do you know if a defect has been opened for this with Atlassian and if not, can you point me to directions on how to open one?

Really annoying...just ran into this...had figured out that Excerpt was working...so I wrapped the content on my page to get it to correctly display and filed a bug

I have submitted a request to support. We are on cloud, and it's not just the text that is being shrunk - it's also images resulting in some pretty ugly distortion.
Hoping we can ge this sorted ASAP as we have several client facing pages displaying this way at the moment :-/
