I have just signed up to trial version of jira and would like to know if there are any limitations on adding estimates to a task. I just cannot seem to find it. Can anyone help please? Thanks so much!

Oh, you don't mean limits, you mean you can't do it.

As an admin

* check time tracking is enabled (it is by default, but sometimes people turn it off while they're experimenting
* look at the project configuration for
* Screens - is "time tracking" on the screen the issue type is using for "create issue"?
* Field configuration - is "time tracking" visible, not "hidden" (defaults are for all fields to be visible)?

All I am trying to do is put a time estimate against a task. So I create a story and a bunch of tasks with estimates. That's what I am not able to do. I want to be able to track the time. I can put story points in and that's great but how do I put estimates on tasks? Are you able to help with that?
