JQL query for issues linked to a specific issuetype in the same or another Jira project

Hi,

please help me, I want to filter all the epics that are linked with "created by" linktype to issues in "Strategy" issuetype in any of my projects in Jira.

Is it possible with JQL query?

I tried this, but did not work:

issueType = Epic AND issueFunction in linkedIssuesOf("issuetype = Strategy", "created by")

Unfortunately, using vanilla JQL, you’ll not be able to do it dynamically.

In the app where my team works, JQL Search Extensions for Jira, you can use this query to find Epics that are linked to Strategies with “created by” linktype:

issue in linkedIssuesOfQuery("type = Strategy", "created by") AND type = Epic
