Database (Beta) Rest API Reference

Question

Hi there,

we would like to implement an automation which extracts all the VMs out of our VMware vCenter and put the result into a Confluence Database.

Regarding this, we need the API reference for Confluence Databases.

What we try to achieve:

1.) Initial Import of vCenter Vms into Confluence Database

2.) Update Confluence Database incrementally on a scheduled basis, which includes removing and updating datasets (rows).

Is this already possible (how?) and if not, is it planned?

I badly want to back Jira Service Management forms, as well as Jira fields using these databases.

Disappointing, but at the same time; as soon as we start using API's for these we become dependent on them. The functionality still feels early beta, which implies danger in becoming dependent.

Thanks for your response.

That are sad news, because a database get its fully benefit onyl when it can be automatically updated, from my point of view this is an essential part of any database.

Every DB that I am aware of has the ability to update, delete, modify rows by a query language, even excel has this feature!

So I vote for something similar as an API Rest command bundle.

Couldn't be that hard to develop I would say.

In the meantime I will check if I can figure out the actual commands within the Webview, which usually also just API calls.

There is no user accessible API for Confluence Databases, and it is not (yet) on the official roadmap.
