How to create dummy demo account without email verification

Dear all,

I have setup a trial standard jira cloud instance that I will use to make a customer demo.

For my demo I need to create a set of user account without email verification.

What I mean is that I would like to create a set of users as below :

user1@demo.com

user2@demo.com

user3@demo.com

Note that domaine demo.com is not valid and only use as a dummy email adress which does not exist.

Once those user gets created, I need to login to the instance with each of those users, but when I do so the login page always asked userx@demo.com to verify it email before login

Any idea how to by pass this and simply login with those users without this email verification ?

Hi @serge calderara

You can make the portal available for public access with not login required. Not sure what kind of portal that is and if that would be an issue. Some functionality in the backend will only work with registered users but for most Demo cases it's sufficient.

Sadly, no, this cannot be bypassed as it may create a security issue and this is why the email verification is required.

Jira Service Management has the option to add the customers that don't need to login in order to make requests, but this is not something that you are asking about.

I don't think that this is possible right now in Cloud. All accounts need to be created/synced from external source in id.atlassian.com
