When closing a ticket, is there a lifespan until it's no longer accessible?

More general if anything. I'm curious how long closed tickets are "archived" for future reference an tracking.

There's no lifespan. Issues only get archived or removed when a human deliberately chooses to do it. Albeit some of us script or automate it!
