Transfer ownership of workspace home/root page

unknown

When I create a new workspace, the root page of the workspace is in my ownership. How do I transfer the page ownership to the owner of the workspace?

I have self discovered the long winded workaround (IMO) of creating a new page in the workspace and setting that as the home page.

Is there any way to not do the workaround?

And if not, please point me at the bug so I can upvote.

thanks

Hello @[deleted]

To transfer the ownership, by the "Owned by [First Name] [Last Name] created with a template" click on three dots and choose "Change owner". From there you enter the user that you want to be the new page owner.

thanks for replying.

Click on 'Test Space' to see the default home page of your workspace.

Are you able to change ownership of the page?

No problem @[deleted].

Pardon of my overview of this issue. There is an option to change the page owner, but sadly this is not possible for changing the space owner.

This page is a great reference: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-questions/is-it-possible-to-change-the-owner-of-a-space/qaq-p/2465633
