How can you hide issues that are done on jira timeline?

I have looked up this question and it says go to view settings in timeline view and click hide settings although I can't see this as an option

using timeline in the board - i just want any done issue to not show up on the timeline view

Thanks for you response - It doesn't seem to work... I am trying to hide issues but it doesn't hide the Done issues I can still see them on my timeline.
