Automation between projects

Hello  

How to generate the following automation in Jira :

If in project x the status of a request changes from a to b then in a related task located in another project ( project x ) change the status of the task .

I have queried GPT but still don't know how to trigger a status change in another project . Jira Cloud, standard version.

In your automation rule details, you should make sure to set the scope of your automation rules to global or at least multiple projects. With that last option you can explicitly select the projects involved in the automation.

That may be the key in solving your issue at hand. The automation rule itself should consist of the following elements:

• trigger: issue transitioned
• condition: optionally check if the transitioned issue is in Project x (if you only want the rule to run from Project X and not when an issue is transitioned in Project y)
• branch: for related issues (the type of related issues depends on how you linked them)
• Action: transition issue
