How to export a wiki page in markdown ?
Hello @Arnaud Sautaux ! Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Exporting to markdown is not native to Confluence. You have to install a Marketplace app to do it.
Here's a list of apps based on a query I did

Thanks
You're welcome. If you feel that the answer I gave was correct or accurate, please don't hesitate to mark it as Accepted.
If the goal is getting a page into ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or Grok, you usually don’t need a file export at all. One click copies the page as clean Markdown, ready to paste into the assistant.

Free app. I'm the developer.
For anyone landing here now: Confluence now has a native Markdown export, so the earlier answer is out of date.
Still, "it exports" and "it exports your page correctly" are different claims. Markdown cannot represent everything Confluence can, so every exporter, native or Marketplace, has to omit something. Most do not tell you what was lost.
Before trusting any exporter with a space, try one deliberately awkward page and diff the result by hand. Check:
If you do not want to build that page yourself, this public suite seeds a space with a fixed corpus and scores an export against 63 rules: https://github.com/YoungjuneKwon/confluence-markdown-conformance
Measured against it on 2026-10-14, the native beta export scored 97/141, with 7 critical failures. The surprising result was media: 0 of 8. Images in tables or links, attachments with spaces in their names, and non-image attachments did not come through. The output did not report those omissions. Non-ASCII titles scored 6/6.
The repo includes raw JSON for every run, so you can inspect the scoring and rerun the suite rather than take my word for it.
Disclosure: I maintain that suite, and one of the three rows in its results table is my own converter. Read that row with suspicion. The corpus and raw output are public so you can rerun it yourself.
Hi All,
For bulk exporting Confluence pages, a mktplace app can help.
We have built an app for the same use case.
