Is it possible to populate/upate a database with list from an external system?

I manage my projects in Asana, and would like to sync my portfolio high-level details with a Confluence database. Is that possible with the new database tool?

Currently it is not possible. Atlassian has plans to build API access for databases, and API access is needed to sync external data.
