Jira Automation rule for auto assigning tickets based off Assignee with least amount of tickets

Question

Hi, For most of my automation rules I some idea where to start. But for this scenario I'm not sure if it's even possible. Is it possible to create a Jira automation rule that will auto assign tickets based off of the assignees with the least amount of tickets assigned to them?

So for example if I have 3 users with the respective amount of Jira tickets assigned to them.

* User A : 4
* User B: 7
* User C: 10

In this example User A would then have the next ticket auto assigned to them. Is it possible to made a rule execute like that based off of JQL filter results?

The balanced workload should work in JSW as well, the only one that JSM only is the on-call schedule one, and that one only works if you have one person that is on-call at the time.

* Hi @Sam Adams , while JSM supports the concept of load-balancing, as well as round, robin and random assignment, JSW does not support this with an automation. Now you might be able to accomplish this using automation and variables, and counting the number of open issues assigned to a specific user, it simply would not be scalable Nor maintainable.
