How do I Get Users Active Users only using REST API

Question

With this GET Users API call, I get all users including non active. How do I get only active users? Also is it possible to query based on created date?

I think currently there's no API to get the list of only "Active Users", However there's a Suggestion raised Here which you can upvote.
