Prevent an Epic from closing when child issues are not closed using Automation for JIRA

HI Team, we are trying to implement the rule to prevent Epic from closing when underlying stories are not done/closed using "Automation for JIRA" plugin. However, we are stuck at the trigger, as it has to be added as a validator unlike other automaton triggers that are executed post the transition.

Could you help let us know how do we trigger this rule?

Hi Eshita,

Automation for Jira cannot prevent anything from happening - it is only going to fire when something DOES happen. You will need to add a validator to your workflow as you mentioned. You will probably need an add-on like JWME or ScriptRunner to be able to do that.
