affecting 2 separate projects

Question

I have 2 separate projects with their own board. When I complete a sprint on one of them, it completes it on the other. Changing the 'sprint name' also changes it on the other. Why is this happening and how can I correct it?

Hi @Adam Rivera , can you check the board filters for both sprints? If you want the two projects/scrum boards to be fully independent be sure the underlying filters do not overlap.

Sprints are not locked to one specific Board or Project - if you have issues from 2 Projects in 1 Sprint, then it will...

* Appear in both Board locations (where Issues are part of the filter)
* Be edited / closed in all locations - as it's only one Sprint, not multiple

If there should be 2 separate Sprints, I'd recommend...

* Checking all existing Sprints to ensure they do not contain a combination of different Projects' issues. Search for the Sprint via Issue Search and check the results.
* Create unique Sprints per Project / Board
* Ensure new Sprints have a unique identifier, so users don't accidentally pick the wrong Sprint when setting it from an Issue's edit view - eg.* Project 1 - Sprint 1
* Project 2 - Sprint 1
