Hi, How can I add the task due date to the issue as a field? I have a Jira Admin Account. We use Jira cloud software and a standard pricing plan. Please give me step by step guide. I have a rough idea about schema.
Hello @Oshadhi Vindhyani
Is due date already added to the Issue Screen?
Hope it helps
Thanks
Hi @Oshadhi Vindhyani ,
1:
Select one of the issues where you want to include the Due date.
In the lower right corner of the issue select Configure
2:
On the right side of the page you should see Due date under suggested fields, like this
3:
Drag&Drop that field into the section for Contect fields or Descption fields. Context fields refers to the left column on a Jira issue, and Context fields refers to the lright column. .
Press Save changes.
4:
Navigate back to the issues. You should now see Due Date.
Notice:If you don't see the field on the issue after saving the changes (step 3), or you dont find the field as shown in step 2 you will need to to a few other steps as well. Please inform me of what step that fails, and I will show how to fix it.

Thank you so much for the prompt & very clear answer. It worked.
Thank you so much for the prompt & very clear answer. It worked. One more thing. If I add the due date here in a one-project will "due date " field will be on all the project issues? consider all the projects are company managed-scrum or kanban.
Thank you so much for the prompt & clear answer.
Hi @Oshadhi Vindhyani, thanks for accepting the answer. Glad it helped.
It actualle depends based on your setup. If you navigate to the Configure page again, have a look at the heading. It will show some details and tell you the impact. It looks something like this:
Screens can be used by one or more projects. If you navigate to the screen setup (ref #3 above) you will see something like this
Shared by (on the top) will show how many projects that uses this screen. Pressing the PROJECT link will display a small popup listing all projects that will be affected if the screen is updated (ref yellow markings above).
It it shows more than one project you use shared screens and most likely shared screeen schemes as well. If needed you can change this to not share screens end scheme for your project so screens can vary between projects and/or issuetypes.
