Is it possible to have two workflows in the same project?

I have a project with two different boards. I would like the boards to use different workflows, is it possible?

It is possible, but only if each Board was using separate Issue Types.

Issue Types can have different Workflows, Screens, and Field Configurations within Jira - so you could have...

* Story - Story Workflow
* Bug - Bug Workflow
* ...etc

...but it's not possible to have 2 different Workflows for Story concurrently in 1 Project, that's when the second Project would be necessary. You could have different Statuses with set parameters (eg. Group1 can conditionally use 3 Statuses, Group2 can use another 3), but that can get very complex.

Could you give us more information about your specific use-case? We'd be happy to provide you with some recommendations based on that :)

Hi,

the workflow is tied to an issue type. A board is just a way to display issue. In a board each column is link with one or several status.

so in your case each board filter should retrieve different issue type.
