Excel into Confluence?

HI all

I have a spreadheet I would like to bring into Confluence. It has 11 columns and 35 rows, and I need a team to be able to edit it. I have tried import file, but the end result is poor, does not reflect the original formatting in excel too well, and it feels foreign to Confluence. Whats my best option here? Thanks

Hi @gustavo , do you want the excel file to be an attachment within the page or do you want to simply import the data into a Confluence table? If the data is to be regularly updated my recommendation would be to use a Confluence table. It will take a bit of effort to initially set it up but not much. However, if the cells contain formulas then you will need to stick with excel as an attachment.

Thanks Jack, there are no formulas. Do I just copy paste the columns and rows onto the Confluence page to create a confluence table? I am afraid it will not keep my formatting, for example one column contains steps in a process and I have each numbered step in a different line within the cell etc

create your table beforehand then paste. however, indeed formatting will not be retained unfortunately.
