Custom board filter options will be shown multiple times

Why is Jira doing this?

I have a board with several projects issues combined. Why do the filters not combine the type of issues, but show the same (from different projects I guess) individually?

One advice, stay away from team-managed projects ...

I'm phasing them out. Is this the reason?
