Get last updated value of priority from issue history

Question

I have scripted field and name is last priority info this field will reflected for specific project all type of incidents

Requirement / scenario(script runner)

Scripted filed should shown the value of previous updated priority filed

Example:

I have 3 history updated for priority field for issue

1) From low to high

2) From High to medium

3) From Medium to low

Hear latest update one is 3rd one that is "From Medium to low"

Hear scripted filed needs to show "Medium"

I would also give it a try with automation rules if scripting is not your thing.

Way easier to create and maintain.

You might be able to do this with an automation rule.  The rule could be triggered on changes to the priority field, and use the changelog entries to populate your custom field.  This would only have the values for changes after the rule is implemented.  Please look here if you want to try that approach: https://support.atlassian.com/cloud-automation/docs/jira-cloud-automation/
