I Have the following scenario: * Test Epic* Test User story 1* subtask 1 - Test User Story 1 * subtask 2 - Test User Story 1 * Test User story 2* subtask 1 - Test User Story 2 * subtask 2 - Test User Story 2 I need to be able to do the following: * When at least one subtask is moved to "In development" move story to "In Development"* add start date to Subtask * When at least one User Story is moved to "In development" move Epic to "In Development"* add start date to User Story * add start date to Epic Note: the start should not change each time a new subtask or user story gets moved to "In Development" Status. The Start Date should be the date the very first task gets moved to "In development." When Story is In Development, Move Epic to In Development + Start Date

I Have the following scenario:

Test Epic
1. Test User story 1

  2. subtask 2 - Test User Story 1
2. Test User story 2
  1. subtask 1 - Test User Story 2
  2. subtask 2 - Test User Story 2

I need to be able to do the following:

When at least one subtask is moved to "In development" move story to "In Development"
1. add start date to Subtask
When at least one User Story is moved to "In development" move Epic to "In Development"
1. add start date to User Story
2. add start date to Epic

Note: the start should not change each time a new subtask or user story gets moved to "In Development" Status. The Start Date should be the date the very first task gets moved to "In development."

You need to move the lookup issue component and the ones under it out of the parent branch for the date to work. In you lookup use {{issue.parent.key}}, that Returns the issue key of the subtask's parent issue.

As the Q1: Answer Suggested by @Mikael Sandberg let me answer the second question, you can use the same rule to update the start date of Epic but use Epic except parent in Branch and if you don't want to update the start date each time then just verify that start date is empty.

So at first the start date of the epic and story is empty but when it is added and the second subtask or story started it will not change the start date of their parent.
