What is the JQL for not in the list of Request participant?

Question

I'm having trouble running my automation rule where I'd like to do a schedule run,

My jql search query is like this,

When scheduled run every Friday
JQL search query > Issue type = X AND Status in (A,B,C) AND ("Request participants" not in (NameOfParticipantA) OR "Request participants" not in (NameOfParticipantB))

^ this rule reads all the issues  which are 10000 issue

I think there's something wrong with my query. Please help me understand the query.
I tried replacing it the 'not in' with '!=' it still reads all the 10000 issue.

What I want is that if the specific request particpant is already present in the ticktet for Example NameOfParticipantA OR NameOfParticipantB, then that's the only issues it will read

Try to switch your JQL search to basic to make sure your requirement get precise as you looking for.

and then filter it using request participant field which user you want to find.

for example like this

Are you trying to only get a listing of issues where those specific requested participants are not associated with the issues?

If so, you just need to use the following modified JQL

Issue type = X AND Status in (A,B,C) AND "Request participants" not in (NameOfParticipantA, NameOfParticipantB)

On the other hand, if you want to get a listing of issues where those specified requested participants are associated with the issues, then the JQL will be

Issue type = X AND Status in (A,B,C) AND "Request participants" in (NameOfParticipantA, NameOfParticipantB)

By the way, are you trying to pull in every JSM project in your site for the JQL, or you are just looking for issues from a specific project?  For it is for a specific project, then you will need to add in your JQL with "project = projectkey" before the rest of your JQL query above.

Example (note you don't need to specified the issuetype as it is not required) -

project = ACME and Status in (A,B,C) AND "Request participants" in (NameOfParticipantA, NameOfParticipantB)
