Tables are Now Automatically Centered with No Left or Right Justification Options

Question

Hello,

One of our users found that there were no longer left/right justification options for tables on Confluence pages. For three years, up until this past October, we had relied on that formatting option.

There is no mention of this change in the official changelog:

https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/confluence/changelog/

As daily users of Confluence Cloud, we need to be made aware of functionality changes (on a regular basis).

Please provide guidance as to how we can all be made aware of significant changes to Confluence in advance. Thank you.

Thanks for the link @Andy Gladstone

(There are many options to choose from on that page. Is there a 'best option' for all user-experience related changes to Confluence?)

Andy Gladstone · Answer

@chris.grom if it is what I stated, it was announced a while ago. You can subscribe to updates by changing your settings in https://preferences.atlassian.com/.

All the best!

Hi @Andy Gladstone Thanks for your response. Up until last month our tables could be left justified.

More importantly though, as daily users of Confluence Cloud, we need to be made aware of functionality changes (on a regular basis).

The changelog did not cover the automatic centering of tables. Is there a newsletter we can subscribe to, or a more informative source of regular changes? Thank you, sir.
