Can I create status filter as dropdown menu?

Hi guys!

I am working on a project where we have multiple issue statuses such as:
1. To Do
2. Waiting
3. Blocked
4. Ready for QA
5. Ready for Dev ....

I want to create a drop-down filter just like Jira has for issue types (photo on below)

Creating a custom drop down filter like that is not currently supported with native Jira functionality.

I suspect there is a change request for that, but I have not yet found it.
