What would harm if we restrict duplicate names for Sprint?

I had to deal with this duplicate sprint in the same project which does not show up unless a ticket is tagged to that sprint and stays there for ever and if we tag any ticket it would go unnoticed from the rest of the tickets with the same sprint name.
