We have a need to track how long a field contains a specific value. As an example, let's say we have a field called Dev Status. The possible values are Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3.
We want to be able to report on how long the issue had a value of Level 1 in the Dev Status field before it was changed to Level 2. Likewise to Level 3.
To further complicate it, we also want to track if the value goes "backward", let's say from Level 2 back to Level 1.
I am assuming we're talking about some kind of API query process here, but I don't really know how that type of thing works with Jira.
Any guidance appreciated.
