The JSON looks ok, for reference, here can you find the JSON formats of different field types.
The only thing I can think of, is that you made a typo in the child value.
yes i have type the child value

Which might be a capital letter or a space at the end of your child value or a double space, etc.
Not only 8x8 contact center whatever value i have enter in child value same errors are happens "fields": { "Product categorization": {"value":"Software", "child":{"value":"Assetsonar"}} }}
