Is it possible to create another row on my Kanban board

Question

At this moment, I have:

* To do, 
* Backlog

columns.

I want to create another one below so that I could add the things that are not important even to have in the backlog.

Wee bit of history, the project is old and was given to me, I don't want to delete the cards, but many are not actual.  I want to create some sort row or something where I could add those cards until the project is finished.

The project uses Kanban board, Please help

As @Trudy P Claspill mentions, the next board column will be shown as a row on the backlog.

There is no option to add more rows.

Do you mean how can you add a new issue to the top of each of those lists?

Well, to add an issue to the To Do list you have to change the status of an issue to To Do.

Its position in the To List when that change is made will be dictated by the ORDER BY clause of the filter used by the board.

Typically board filters use ORDER BY Rank, which allows you to drag and drop issues in the list to change their relative priority, noting that the issues at the higher up in the list have a higher relative priority. By "relative" I mean that for each issue Jira keeps track of the issue that is higher and the issue that is lower. When you change the status of an issue, Jira figures how to position the issue among the other issues in the same status based on the Rank.

If you want the issue to be at the top of the list, you'll have to drag it there.

With the Backlog list newly created issues will automatically be ranked lowest priority. You then can drag the issue to the top of the list or right-click on it and select "Move to top of backlog".
