Adding a ticket to a sprint via the "backlog" view doesn't work

Question

I go to the "backlog" view of my board:

Then I click the "+ Create issue" button and start typing the name of a new issue:

It even says "New Story in Sprint 10/02" implying that it should be added to the sprint once I press enter.

However once I submit, it creates the new ticket but dumps it into the backlog instead of attaching it to the `Sprint 10/02` as expected.

This used to work but seemed to have broken recently?

Not sure if this is happening on every board since this is the only board that my team owns

Hello, Good day. I tested on my instance and confirmed this works fine on Sprint from backlog. This is happening on one specific board or all boards ?
