Is it possible to trigger automation of log work on other issues than the trigger?

Hello, community!
I am trying to build an automation that would connect transitioning of issues in one projects with logging work on issues in another.
Out of the box - only log work on the trigger issues in the automation is possible.
Is there any workaround to this? Maybe directly through the API? Both projects are fixed, destination to log work on is also fixed.

Unless you can branch to the issues, it may not be possible.  To save you time, there is no REST API function to log work for another user, and so if the issues are assigned to another person this would not work.

What information are you using to log work: amount, date/time, etc.?  It might be possible to divide and conquer with multiple rules: have one rule update another, and that could trigger a separate rule to log the work.

sadly, the structure of the automation already uses branches to differentiate between issues in the starting project.
and then the step would be to log against respective subtasks in a story in another project.

Hi @Dmitry Alabyan

Rule actions like log work are based on the "current issue", at a specific point in a rule.  Have you tried branching to the issue to which you want to log time?
