Wiki page layout help - columns

Hi all,

I am looking for help on how to use columns in my Wiki page.

I have split two of my page sections into three equal width colums using Column macro, so that three columns in upper section are aligned with the three columns in the section below.

This looked okay, but I may have inadvertently changed some parameter and the resulting page now has a gap between 1st and 2nd column in the bottom section which creates a big ugly space in the middle of my page.

Would anyone be able to help at all please?

Hi @Svetlana Subbotina ~ I'm not able to access your link but have you tried using the Column macros within a Section macro? Or have you checked the Column macro for a width setting? You may want to try setting different % or px values or even clearing that value.

thanks Laurie - yes I've used Column macro with a width setting, and put it inside a section. I have done that twice in exactly the same way for two consecutive sections on my page. The first section was split correctly like I wanted (into three equal width columns) but the second section somehow ended up with a space between my 1st and 2nd column. I think there is something I'm missing but not sure what!

here is a screenshot in case it clarifies!

Hi @Svetlana Subbotina ~ I meant a Section macro, not a section via the page layout. Try using 2 Section macros: 1 with the "Smart Medical Aid", "Superhumans" and "Kids and Art for Ukraine" columns in that section and then another Section macro with your row 2 columns. That way, you can more easily adjust each section without having to worry about how it will impact the other rows.

As an alternative, you can consider trying more advanced tools for visualization.

Something like a card macro could be a great solution for your use case. But it is available only when you use apps from the Atlassian marketplace.

One such app is Content Formatting Macros for Confluence (created by my team). It lists other valuable features for content creators in Confluence (numbered headings, tabs, tooltip, etc.) that are not available as built-in features.
