How do I remove a subtask from its cloned parent issue?

1. I cloned an issue having two subtasks, and I am not the owner of the issues.

2. I want to delete the relation between my issue and these two sub-tasks, as these are not mine.

Remark: I can't change the subtasks type of issue because I don't own them.

If I understand correctly, you want to unlink a sub-task from its parent issue.

You can convert your sub-task to a standard issue as discussed in the following thread:

Hi @rsund I cannot do that as I do not own the two sub-tasks. I cloned an issue with two sub-tasks. The issue was cloned, but the sub-tasks were not. So, I cannot touch the sub-tasks .

There are a few things you can do with a subtask if you have sufficient permissions.

1. Convert them to a standard issue, as mentioned by @Sugandha Singh

2. Change the parent of the subtask so that it is under another standard issue using the Move function.

3. Delete the subtask entirely.

You have to have specific permissions for each of these things. If you don't have permissions to do any of these things you will need to contact an administrator. You could start by contacting the Project Lead for your project. They might have sufficient permissions. If they don't, then it will need to be escalated to a Project Administrator or perhaps to a full Jira Administrator.
