why the status of Jira issue is "to do", but the "resolution" button still show up.

Question

Theoretically, the resolution button only shows up when Jira issue status changes into "done", but I don't know why it also shows up when the status of issue is "to do" or " in progress". Thank you very much that somebody knows the reason and how to fix it.

Thank you very much. Yes, the workflow we only set resolution for status "Done". We are a company user for many projects, we need this to be fixed, so do u know who we can connect with Atlassian customer service please? I appreciate.

Hi, this means there's an error in your workflow.

A transition to a "Done" status category should always set a resolution, either automated via a post function or manually via the resolution field on a transition/workflow screen.

A transition from a "Done" status to a "To Do" or "In Progress" status should always clear the resolution, via a post function.
