When issue is completed, add to fix version

Hi all,

I want to create a very simple automation, yet I wonder if this is possible in Jira. We have an automation in place: when a sprint is started, create a fix version.

Now I want to add issues to the current fix version when the issue is transitioned to the status Done/Completed.

However.. I don't see how I can accomplish this..

The Action you need is "Edit Issue"

You can then select the field "Fix version", and set it from here.

Okay, the automation is not working entirely as I would like.

My trigger first was as showed in the original post: when issue is transitioned to DONE regardless of the status it was in: add to fix version. This however was putting ALL stories that transitioned into another status in the fix version.

So I added extra criteria: but the behaviour is still the same..

The initial rule should work - it would only activate the rule if the transition was to "Done" - is that where you want it to add the Fix Version automatically?

Have you checked the audit log to see what is happening? And checked there are no other conflicting rules?
