How do you embed a page attachment back onto the page (which is listed in the attachments view).

If a user removes an attachment from a page and publishes it, the attachment is still saved in the page's attachments.

Is there a way to embed the file back onto the page?

• Showing the entire attachments macro is not the answer.
• Downloading and uploading the file may not be the answer because the file in question is a Gliffy attachment. The user tried to download it and then dragged and dropped it - which didn't work.

The new cloud editor in Confluence falls short of some features the former editor was offering, but for some topics, workarounds exist. So, in general, it's a good idea to look at the cloud editor roadmap for an overview of actual tasks you want to perform: Confluence Cloud editor roadmap 

On that page, they link to a workaround on how to link to different things but also attachments: Insert links - Attachments
