Can I use in-page links using an image instead of text as the root?

Question

TomC · Answer

Milo's answer is correct if looking to link within the page (was not certain from the wording of your question, though I bet Milo's assumption is correct).  If one is looking to create simple in-page links going to places outside the page using an image - a common use case for our uses - the steps are very similar:

* Add the image
* Select the image and click Link
* Click Search or Recently viewed to link to other Confluence pages,  Attachments to link to an attachment or Web Link to link to pages outside Confluence.
