Issue JIRA creation VS file importation

Dear Support,

I have configured a list view using filters in JIRA, for issues to appear in a way my team's needs are being met, meaning that I had to create cutomized fields during data mapping/configuration(importing using CSV files). However, the problem that arised is that none of these customized fields appear as an option when we try to create an issue(and add it to the list) via JIRA. How can we create issues in JIRA, including all the customized fields?

To create issues in JIRA with all the customized fields, you have two options: Issue creation via the JIRA interface and issue importation using CSV files. Let's go through both options:

1. Issue Creation in JIRA:
When creating an issue directly in JIRA, you need to ensure that the customized fields are added to the appropriate screens and issue types. Here's how you can do it:

a. Go to the JIRA project where you want to create the issue.
b. Click on the "Create" button, usually located in the top navigation bar.
c. Fill in the required information, such as summary, description, and issue type.
d. Scroll down to see the available fields. If your customized fields are not visible, follow these steps:
- Click on the "Configure Fields" button, usually located at the right-hand side of the screen.
- In the "Configure Fields" dialog, make sure the checkboxes for your customized fields are selected. If not, check the boxes to add them.
- Click "Done" to save the configuration.
e. Complete the remaining fields as needed.
f. Click "Create" to create the issue with all the customized fields.

2. File Importation using CSV:
If you prefer to import issues using CSV files, you can map the fields in your CSV file to the corresponding customized fields in JIRA. Here's how you can do it:

a. Prepare a CSV file with the necessary information, including the customized fields.
b. Go to the JIRA project where you want to import the issues.
c. Click on the "..." (more) button in the top navigation bar and select "Import issues" from the dropdown menu.
d. In the "Import Issues" dialog, select "CSV" as the import source.
e. Upload your CSV file and proceed to the next step.
f. On the "Map Fields" screen, match the columns from your CSV file to the corresponding JIRA fields, including the customized fields. Ensure that each customized field in your CSV file is correctly mapped to the respective field in JIRA.
g. Continue the import process, review the summary, and confirm the import.
h. The issues will be imported, including the customized fields you mapped during the import process.

By following these steps, you should be able to create issues in JIRA, including all the customized fields, both via the JIRA interface and through file importation using CSV files.
