I updated the Description for Issue Types, but it isn't appearing when I Create a new Issue (doesn't appear under that field). Whereas, compared to Fix Version/s, I was able to edit that description and see it appear.
I came across a similar issue. I thought I could just change the field description in the Custom Field definition, but actually I needed to change it in the Field Configuration.
I'm looking under field configuration, but all I see is an option to edit my field configuration, which is just a name and description. I don't see an option to describe the Issue Type drop down.
