Add a label after a successful send email

I have set up an automation rule to attach a label once the email is sent. However, the label is added regardless of whether the email was sent successfully or not. I am using the label to avoid sending future emails.

Can someone please suggest how to verify the successful delivery of the email before adding the label?

Hi Tony,

Automation can't really know if the email was delivered successfully or not - there are a myriad of reasons why it might not get where it is supposed to.
