I am trying to modify or insert field values of about 100 (bulk) issues (specific issue numbers).Is it possible to modify or insert values of fields in the issue screen? (jql or other way)

@John Funk correctly points out that there is a Bulk Change function in Filter view that allows you to set the same value for some set of issues.
So if all 100 issues need to have the label 'abc' added, then you should be set.
However my first thought when I read your question is that maybe you needed to add different labels for each of those 100 issues?
There is also a way to do that! The trick is to do a CSV export of your issues, and then in Excel or another editor, add/edit the labels, and then import the issues back.

You can bulk change issues by creating/running a filter. On the filter screen after you get your results, click the 3 dots button on the top right and choose Bulk Change.
