Is it possible to restrict the creation of certain issue types to a group or a project role ?

Hi everyone,

I think I saw on the Jira Knowledge Base, that it's impossible to do it natively, and they suggest some paid add-on ...
I prefer to ask here because it seems odd to me that this feature does not exist...

So anyone knows how to do this natively ? Or at least with a free add-on ?

Hi @Raphaël NORYNBERG ,

my suggestion is to create a specific workflow and associate it to issue types in teh Workflow Scheme. After doing that you can define a specific validator on creation so that just specific users with specific permission can do that. This is a way to do that natively without external apps.
